  • And its strange how soon you forget
    That you’re like stars
They only show up when it’s dark
Cause they don’t know their worth
And I think you need to stop following misery’s lead
Shine away shine away shine away
Isn’t it time you got over how fragile you are
    We’re all waiting
    Waiting on your supernova
    Cause that’s who you are
And you’ve only begun to shine

NEVER change your style! I LOVE it...i came upon your blog because I've been playing in the WCMD challenges and you hosted one of them. Personally, I make cards mostly for my mother so I keep to what she likes. I seem to be always doing that...making things that I think others will like...If I had my way, I would only do what I like. No DT's for me...to much stress that I don't need. I'm happy just making cards. Keep up the creative work, I'll be adding you to my goodle reader!

Shirley

I love your embossing and the attached leaf embellishment is so pretty too!

I love this card Suzy. Your work is wonderful and a DT will come your way. I often dream about it too but I am not in your level of work at all. Best of luck in the future for a DT.

Beautiful card and beautiful words, Suzy! It can be intimidating submitting our personal art for critique and possible "rejection." I go into each new challenge with the attitude- what's meant to be will be. It is not so much if you are "good or bad" but if you are the right "fit." Your advice to not change your style and be yourself at your best is excellent (does that make any sense)!

Marie Donnelly

What great advice Suzy. I couldn't agree more. And, BTW, I LOVE your style!!!

LOVE the technique - thanks for sharing it. also love what you had to say about being true to your own style - i too don't march to the beat of what is popular right now BUT i LIKE what i do so i have had a little acceptance to do as well.....

Karen

Very pretty card, and very good advice about dealing with rejection. Thanks for sharing all the detail.

Great Fall Card Suzy...my favorite season! I enjoyed reading your take on Design Teams..thanks for that. I'm so glad I found your blog:)

Your card is beautiful! And I really like your philosophy on design teams and getting published . . . you are so correct -- we should never change our style and just be ourselves!

Terry

Wonderful....although I don't use copics, I will use markers or crayons.
I will be doing this card in some way, shape or form.
Thank you Suzy.
