Isn't this little gnome sweet? He is part of the upcoming release of new images at Odd Bird Planet! What I love about OBP stamps is that so many of them are really versatile and can be turned into other objects or used for other seasons than they were intended for. For today's card I took one Christmas image and three non-seasonal images and made a whimsical Christmas card.
See the red on little Gnome's beard (thanks to Copic markers)? I have decided that Gnomes drink Holly Berry with Christmas Wreath Tea for Christmas!
I sat the new Good Cheer Gnome image on the Plain Perch/Snowglobe/Cakestand that I turned upside down and into a teacup ~ how is that for one versatile stamp? Next I embossed the image in a light gold color, sponged Stampin' Up! Red Riding Hood and Kiwi Kiss inks on it then popped it up on a 3D glue dot. The cup handle is the end part of Michelle's Little Scroll ~ I used Krylon Gold Leafing Pen to ink my rubber. A bit of Stickles in Christmas Red was added here and there.
The background stamp is I Love Tea stamped in the same Stampin' Up! inks - I love how the red and green fade into each other. Stampin' Up! Red Riding Hood and Kiwi Kiss textured cardstocks are layered underneath the ivory cardstock. I was going to add more but I could not bear to cover up the background stamp, I just love it.
The Poinsettia flowers and leaves are by Prima, I added extra gold glitter with Stickles and Golden Berry dew drops to the centers.
