Hello and happy Sunday everyone,
I would like to apologize to you for not posting more often. With all the things that have been happening in my life I have fallen into a bit of a funk and find it very hard to create. I feel terrible for the companies that have hired me to work for them, and for my readers who come again and again to see a new post and find nothing there. I am kicking my own butt and just going to get back on the horse. That is the end of my feeling sorry for myself - not even going to mention it again. I hate reading depressing blogs.
I made today's card a few days ago for Suzanne's unique March Sketch Challenge card and did not post it because I didn't feel it was very good (the card - not the sketch, which I love!). I tried to join different styles and textures, and am not sure if I succeeded. But at least I had fun coloring this lovely little Standing Fall Tilda stamp from Magnolia-licious with Copics. You rarely have to go by season with these stamps - I think she is very Spring and Easter like with her little basket and the flower on her hat :) but then again we wear scarves here well into May it is so cold lol.
The corrugated metallic gold cardstock was cut into a square, then into two triangles for the sketch. Bronze glittered paper lies between the Chatterbox Filligree metallic green paper and the flourish (from Stampin' Up's Friends 24-7) that I embossed with Verdigris embossing powder. The Verdigris contains bits that are bronze, gold and brown so I used those colors for my card. I spritzed some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Coffee Shop (bronzish brown) and Honeydew Melon ( gold and green). Finally I sponged the edges with shades of green and brown.
Thank you for stopping by, and to those of you who have stuck around through my dry spell, thank you for believing in me. Allan is so much better, he is smiling again. Life is so good.

Oh so sweet, love the chipboard behind the oval, and she is darling!
Hope you are feeling better soon, I have had that feeling not to long ago so I understand where your coming from, so thankful it doesn't last long, just feels that way while going through it!

Hi Suzy,
I am so happy Allan is home again and you are together.
Family comes before anything else and we all understand that. Once you can relax you will be creating like mad.
Love your card with all the different textures. It is beautiful.

Suzy, I also love this card with all the interesting textures. The colors go very well together and look so warm and rich. Glad to hear that Allen is feeling better...now you need to take some time for yourself to just sit on your couch with a nice warm blankie and your puppies, and cuddle and think about what a blessed woman you are. Don't fret, your fans will be fine for awhile. Linda S. in NE

You shouldn't feel like you have to apologize. You have to take care of self, life and family before anything else. I hope things are getting better for you. And....you are much too hard on yourself right now. This card is really gorgeous. I really like the way you combined the different textures. Gorgeous.
