This one's for the girls
Who've ever had a broken heart
Who've wished upon a shooting star
You're beautiful the way you are
This one's for the girls
Who love without holding back
Who dream with everything they have
All around the world
This one's for the girls
Yeah, we're all the same inside
From 1 to 99
I just love that Martina McBride song. And now I can't get it out of my head. In my opinion, today's card is the ultimate girlfriend card. Who wouldn't like to receive pearls and flowers in the mail, and be taken to a picnic of daisies? More on that at the bottom of this post, just a teeny surprise for someone.
Card details: I went shabby chic for the debut of the Embellish-Online.com April gallery. The image, Picnic of Daisies by Stampavie's Sarah Kay line, was colored with the Copics you see above, then mounted on Core-Dinations cardstock that I sanded and painted with white crackle paint.
I have discovered my favorite lip color for Copics - Flesh. It is a few tones darker than skin white and doesn't make her look like she is wearing lipstick, but rather just a natural lip color. If you double click the image you can see a closeup of her lips better.
The dreamy green patterned paper is Memories from Prima's Flirty Little Secret collection, accented with Ruby paper from the same line. I used Martha Stewart's Classic Butterfly punch (so confusing - she has a single Classic Butterfly punch, then this punch of the same name, which is a trio of smaller butterflies) and Stampin' Up!'s Boho Blossoms punch, along with Prima flowers and K&Co. green, pink and cream Pearls.
I popped the white of the daisies with Signo White Gel Pen, adding a bit to the jeans as well.
Take a stroll through the gallery to see what our Design Team has been up to using Stampavie stamps, Prima, BasicGrey, Copic products and whimsy! You do need to register to view the gallery, but it is quick, easy, and free.
If you go shopping be sure to type the keyword GLITTER in the VOUCHER box at checkout to save 20% off everything, even the deal of the day, which today is 50% off Maya Road products - so you would save almost 70% off woo hoo now that's a deal!
I would love to send this card to a virtual girlfriend (I consider you all my girlfriends :). Just leave a comment here if you would like the card, and I will mail it to you blank so you can pass it along to YOUR favorite girlfriend. If I have more than one person who wants the card I will do a random draw on Friday.
p.s. Embellish-Online.com is currently looking for a design team. All details are right here.

I would like to have a card from you, Suzy!
Hope you can count on me as a virtual Girlfriend!
Honestly I don't have any girlfriends close to me... Only virtual and on the phone...
Love the cute poem (song) too!

Thank you for listing the Copic markers you used on the card. I would love to win the card so I could see it up close. Your color choices and shading are amazing.

Well Suzy, you will have to lump this fan with the other "Greedy" readers of your blog. If I would win this card made by you, it would be framed and hung in my scraproom forever. Give it to someone else????? It won't happen. That would be like giving someone an autograph of Babe Ruth, and then telling them to pass it along. Take my word....you are going places my friend, and to have a piece of your work in my home would be a MEGA deal!! Nope, it will not be leaving 19438 Davy Jone.....whoops, sorry there....I guess you don't need my address quite yet, huh?? Hugs, Linda S. in NE

I guess more than one person will want this card! It's a work of art! Just perfect. I think I would keep it on display for a while before I gave it away. A little selfish, I know. ;-)

Suzy - I love this card. And that song is stuck in my head too. It fits so well. I would definitely share your card with another friend if I received it AFTER I had enjoyed it for a few days. It's such a fun card, you can't help but smile. And you've got to include the song lyrics - it takes it up a notch! It's a beautiful day - enjoy!

Hi Suzy, what a beautiful card. It is gorgeous!!! I am just amazed at your coloring skills and the details you achieve. I love the flowers and butterflies. Those little details add so much. I always learn so much from your post. Thank you for sharing all of the information about your cards. I would absolutely love to get this card from you but I don't think I could part with it and give it away. It would have to put on display in my craft room. :)
